Our Mother The Mountain to release their debut single ‘Sway
May 20th 2023 marks the first release from ‘Our Mother The Mountain’ [OMTM] on Republic Domain records: “Sway” – will be the first of 3 demo singles to be released before their full EP called Blood and Bone.
OMTM are a group of loose-fitting musicians centred around the songs and vocals of Kristian Saunders. Kristian brings the thunder to the mountains through his deep vocal delivery - echoed out of the valleys of his home in Wales - and dark and foreboding songs that resonate with a dark mythology of his own devising.
Sway has a beautifully dark and foreboding tone, full of threat and dire warnings, perfectly drawn out with the beautiful sludge stirred up by the band to add to the wild maelstrom of a song Kris had whipped up.
This first song gives you a glimpse of the dystopian blues that echo out from the strange world of OMTM, a place filled with its own myths and legends that mirror our own but with their own dark edges.
